We still have a usb dvd drive somewhere I can use on the machines without dvds.Nope. 4.8GB of bloatedness.
Burn To Usb Partition Pro Into TheDvd Capacity, 4.7GB What the absolute hell How is this usable I see theyve thrown edu enterprise and pro into the same iso. For starters, Pro users dont need the ISO, their key can use the media creator tool, unlike the rest of us who have to use third party tools. Has anyone found a workaround Anything that I can just boot the machine from and fix or install as required, while I still have enough hair to make a ponytail. I dont think this is the reason why your disk is 4.8GB. Burn To Usb Partition Windows 10 To AWhat third party tools are you using to create your image MDT can be used to help Windows 10 to a USB drive. Alternatively look at moving to things like MDT where the large WIM file is on the network and the image you burn to USB (or load into WDS if you want PXE boot), is a much smaller WinPE image (normally a few hundred mb depending on how many drivers you need to load into it). And even there its listed as 4.8GB SWDVD9WinPro101709.164BITEnglishProEntEDUNMLFX21-67518. Also were kinda in the middle of moving to a new domain (New IT manager broom sweeps clean:rolleyes:) so need to talk to the IT manager about how Id host a WIM on a server Nice to know Rufus can do NTFS, Ill give that a try next since I have a machine I really need to get set up. I created it straight from the Media Creation tool and W10 build downloaded from MS website and it is bootable. It just instructs you to go to the VLSC, which is where the 4.8GB monstrosity awaits. Ive had to do this in the past with a few ISOs from the NGVLC. But yeah, its not been updated in years so doesnt handle UEFI at all (and so cant use the UEFI NTFS driver trick to handle storing large image files that I talked about earlier on in this thread). Pretty much OP needs to use Rufus as this will be the most reliable option for ensuring it all works. Though I run a couple of drives I built with YUMI on pendrivelinux that lets me take advantage of the fact that theres 12GB of wasted space for a single ISO when I can have 5-6 with no issues. Double check in rufus too that when you load the ISO it recognises it is a windows install, you should see a couple of options appear asking if this is for a regular windows install or a windows to go one. You process your ISO into am MPTN so you can do a UEFI boot, put it on your stick and let Easy 2 boot do the rest. Of course, it appears you are attempting a clean install, but subsequent statements make that assumption suspect. ![]() WDS (boot from network and install over the network). Use dual layer DVD media. Get a Zalman external hard drive that can emulate DVDs. Burn To Usb Partition Windows 7 Tool ThatUse the Windows 7 tool that others have mentioned that creates USB media (What I do - has worked flawlessly for me over the course of probably 100 installs over the last 10 years for all versions of Windows 7, 8, 10, and server since Windows 2008).
